What sets us apart from the rest?

We're not just a sensory playgroup.. we offer much more than that! While sensory play forms a large part of what we do, it's not all that we offer! Exploring science, process art, music and dance, help cultivate our kids innate curiosity. With 6 different rotating sessions, we provide a wide variety of opportunity for your kids to engage in something new. Our small group settings also double as a mums group, giving you time to socialise and engage in adult conversation with like-minded mums/parents. During a session, I am fully engaged and interacting with both you and your kids! I dont simply set up and walk away... playing and being creative with your kids is what I love! But what really makes us different, is our unique set up. Our incredible playroom provides a space for your kids to play independently and collaboratively with others. It promotes imaginative play, problem solving and engages all the senses. I wanted to create a space that provides comfort and calm. A place that you and your kids look forward to coming to - that forms a new part of your weekly schedule!

With soft tones, wooden open-ended toys and accessories, soft play, a 4 metre seating bench, baby corner, sensory wall, reading nook, bloackboard and lego walls.. our space is completelty unique offering a calm space for your children to explore and enjoy! In a growing world of technology, screen free activities and personal interaction are needed more and more.
Social skill building, collaboration with others, confidence building, imaginative creation and pure enjoyment is our goal.

From humble hall beginnings..

Hi, I'm Amellia! A Greystanes local, mum of 3 boys! After the birth of my 3rd son, I came across a yoga course and thought 'that'd be fun!' Soon, the initial idea of an afterschool yoga and mindfulness program completely changed as the kids club aspect was born. I knew that there were a lack of options for alternate after school activities for kids to unwind, socialise and re-regulate. And that's exactly what I initially aimed to create. I also knew that there were limited activities in the local area for mums to enjoy during the day with their younger children. And certainly nothing which allowed mums some calm, social interaction whilst their children were engaged and playing. From my initial vision, Kids Zen Zone was formed into something incredible, providing both parents and children a place to decompress, socialise and play.
Our story begins in a local council hall, where short sessions of art, yoga and kids club came to fruition. It wasn't long before the restriction of what the hall could provide was beginning to affect my energy levels, and the business itself. When the opportunity for my own space came, I called upon immense courage, investing money, time and tears to transform a blank room into Kids Zen Zone! I have my certification in children's yoga and mindfulness, first aid & CPR, WWCC and Child Protection certficate.
